Team Details

James P. King, LCADC, is a seasoned Alcohol and Drug Counselor with more than 30 years of experience in substance use treatment and counseling. He has been a longstanding member of O.R.E.A., formerly known as D.A. Wynne & Associates, where he has brought decades of clinical knowledge and experience to the organization.

Mr. King earned his master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from West Virginia University, where he developed a strong foundation in working with individuals with physical and mental disabilities. He began his professional career with a therapeutic community-based program, where he served as a Re-Entry Counselor from 1983 to 1985 before transitioning into the field of alcohol and drug counseling.

He later joined Prince George’s County Health Department, where he served in a variety of outpatient treatment settings and leadership roles. Over the course of his career, he worked as a counselor, was promoted to Supervisor in the Methadone Program, and eventually served in the Circuit Court Adult Drug Court Program, where he concluded his public service career. Throughout his professional career, Mr. King has remained committed to O.R.E.A., contributing a broad range of clinical expertise and a longstanding dedication to helping individuals achieve recovery.
