Dr. Pedro Aybar is an experienced medical and behavioral health professional with more than 30 years of service in substance abuse and mental health treatment. Originally from the Dominican Republic, he earned his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and later specialized in Pulmonology in Ukraine. After relocating to the United States, he completed certification in Addiction Counseling at the University of the District of Columbia and has since worked in treatment and education programs across Maryland and Virginia.
Dr. Aybar is licensed in Maryland and Virginia and remains committed to ongoing professional development. Now retired from public service in Fairfax County and Montgomery County, he continues to facilitate substance abuse groups on a part-time basis at O.R.E.A.
